Epitale is a web application that helps users understand their health data. It provides a platform for users to connect their health data from various sources and get personalized insights and recommendations. It was developed in collaboration with Medical Doctors & PhDs specializing in clinical biochemistry.

Architecture

The project is a monorepo managed by Nx. It consists of the following applications:

• home-page: The public-facing website that explains what Epitale is and what it does.
• app: The main web application where users can connect their health data and view their personalized insights.
• api: The backend API that powers the web application.

Both applications are localized by self-developed translation management system compromising of various scripts to extract terms (with Format.js), deduplicate them and upload to Google Sheet, where the terms are translated via Google Translate & Human review and then downloaded back to the repository.

Infrastructure

The application is hosted on AWS. It uses a variety of AWS services to provide a scalable and reliable platform.
